SEEDS WORTH SOWING

Seeds Worth Sowing, formerly known as The Rebellion Relief Fund, is a mutual aid centered nonprofit that began a small community effort organized by Zedé Harut of Holistic Heaux in response to the impact of the uprising following the murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020. Black, Indigenous, Latine, and Asian caregivers have been disproportionately impacted by pandemic related unemployment and lack of access to resources. While these inequities were present prior to the uprising, they were exacerbated by the burnings of department stores and grocery stores during the uprising. Seeds Worth Sowing prioritizes delivering caregiver supplies and direct financial aid to Black, Indigenous, Latine, and Asian caregivers in the Twin Cities to redress these inequities. They are 100% funded by donations and small grants to meet the needs of each caregiver who requests support.
