Trayvon: On The Dawn Of Freedom

Trayvon: On The Dawn Of Freedom

On July 13th, 2013, George Zimmerman was pronounced "not guilty" of the murder of Trayvon Martin. Youthprise asked me to develop an artist-in-residency program that would incorporate photographs I took in Harlem and Union Square into a gallery that would connect the issue of youth violence, community activism, and the arts.

From the support of collaborator Adam Davis Mc-Gee, Youthprise, and their local partners, we installed a collaborative installation and also published a B&W postcard book series entitled, "Trayvon: On The Dawn Of Freedom", at Casket Arts in Northeast Minneapolis from July 13th - August 14th, 2014.
